If you’re anything like me, an apartment doesn’t feel like home until it’s decorated. The best part of moving into a new place is being able to make it your own, and what better way to do that than with posters that speak to you?

To get you started, here are 15 posters worthy of your apartment.

1. Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe

It’s important to go back to the classics, and what better way to do this than by turning to the two most prominent female actresses/sex symbols ever? Posters of them can be found at countless stores, and because they’re so popular, it won’t be difficult to find one that fits your personal style.

2. Keep Calm

The “Keep Calm” posters have shown up countless times in apartments all over campuses, and the best part about them: the variety. Every person can pick the poster that speaks best to their interests, so they’re not only fun to look at, but also revealing of your personality. I’d say that’s a two-for-one deal!

3. Drinking Poster

Let’s not avoid the obvious here: we’re in college, and drinking comes along with the territory. The best part about drinking posters? They can be as classy or as trashy as you want them to be.

If your apartment is the constant stage for pre-games, funny drinking posters are a must. However, if you and the roomies occasionally drink a glass of wine while watching “Downton Abbey,” a classy vino poster is probably the best fit for you.

4. Movie Poster

This is an absolute must. Whether your favorite film be as recent as “22 Jump Street” or as old as “Gone with the Wind,” a poster representing it is an absolute must.

Of course, don’t limit yourself to only one; if film is right up your alley, fill the apartment wall-to-wall with images from your favorite movies. Whether it’s comedy, drama or action, movie posters are just plain awesome, and who knows? They could even be a good conversation starter at your next party.

With television’s popularity at an extreme high due to shows such as “The Walking Dead” and “Game of Thrones,” TV show posters are going to be more common in apartments.

Maybe pick your favorite character from your favorite show, or even a poster with the entire cast. Representing yourself in your apartment is important, and what better way to do that than to showcase your favorite things?

Who doesn’t love animals? There are the funny animal memes that are made into posters, or you can just pick one of your favorite animals and put up a cool image of it.

My all-time favorite funny animal poster? The honey badger. It’ll never get old.

7. Blacklight Poster

Spencer’s is best known for these, and for good reason. These may just be some of the coolest posters, not just because of the interesting images, but because lights literally make it stand out from any others.

If you get a chance, I’d look into it, because they are definitely worth it.

Let’s be honest here: we are never going to grow out of Disney. I know I’m not the only one that can’t seem to pass up “Tarzan” when it’s being played on ABC Family.

So for those of you that have already come to terms with your obsession, go out and get yourself a poster from your favorite Disney film for the apartment, because the nostalgia it brings is so worth it.
